Chris had always noticed a particular dog standing outside a closed bike shop. The dog, a well-groomed Shiba Inu named Ollie, showed up at the same spot every day. Strangely, he never begged for food or attention. He simply waited.
One day, Chris decided to interact with the lonely dog and offered him a sandwich. Ollie took it eagerly but, to Chris’s surprise, ran away with it. This routine continued for days. Chris became so intrigued that he finally decided to follow him.
Ollie led him on a long journey through town to an abandoned property. Chris watched as the dog dug beneath a locked door and pushed the food inside. Peering through a dusty window, he saw another dog—a German Shepherd—inside. The poor creature looked weak and malnourished, barking desperately.
Realizing what was happening, Chris called the authorities. The police arrived and broke open the door, freeing the starving German Shepherd. The officers revealed that the house belonged to the missing bike shop owner, who had tragically passed away inside an outbuilding. His two dogs had been left alone, with only Ollie finding a way out.
Chris couldn’t leave them behind. Despite his girlfriend’s initial resistance, he convinced her to let them stay. Over time, even Mila warmed up to them. Thanks to Ollie’s devotion, his best friend survived.
