A Mother’s Intuition

Iris’s world was turned upside down on her daughter Eliza’s wedding day. As she watched her future son-in-law, Daniel, hurry toward the back of the restaurant, her curiosity got the better of her. She followed him, only to see him slip into a bathroom with one of the bridesmaids, Melissa.

What Iris witnessed next shook her to her core. Daniel and Melissa were embracing, their intentions clear. Iris overheard their conversation, revealing a shocking truth: Daniel was only marrying Eliza for her wealth. He planned to divorce her and split the assets with Melissa.

Iris was torn. She didn’t want to ruin her daughter’s special day, but she knew she had to act. She waited until the perfect moment to reveal the truth to Eliza, hoping her daughter would see the signs and confront Daniel.

Days passed, and Iris returned home, waiting for the right moment to expose Daniel’s scheme. She called Eliza, pretending her flight was canceled, and asked her to meet at her house. When Eliza arrived, Iris watched from outside as Daniel and Melissa were caught in a compromising position.

Eliza finally saw the truth, but her reaction wasn’t what Iris expected. Daniel denied the allegations, and Eliza believed him, even showing her the keys to their new home as proof of his love. Iris’s heart sank as she realized her daughter was still under Daniel’s spell.

The stress took a toll on Iris, and she suffered a heart attack. In the hospital, she pleaded with Eliza to leave Daniel, but her daughter refused, convinced of his innocence. In a desperate attempt to protect her daughter’s inheritance, Iris changed her will, leaving her wealth to charity and freezing Eliza’s bank account.

Weeks of silence followed, with Eliza cutting ties with her mother. But one day, the doorbell rang, and Iris’s heart skipped a beat as she saw Eliza standing there, tears streaming down her face. “Mom, you were right,” Eliza sobbed. Daniel’s true nature had finally been revealed, and Iris’s intuition had been vindicated.
