My Son’s Clever Trap Ended My Wife’s Workplace Flirt

I’m Tom, 38, once a powerhouse who built decks and climbed hills. A drunk driver’s crash two years ago left me with a shattered leg and spinal damage, reliant on a walker or wheelchair. My wife, Emily, worked extra hours at a marketing firm to keep us going, always supportive despite my struggles. Our 13-year-old son, Caleb, became our hero, helping Emily and staying strong in school. I raised him to stand up for family, but his actions one day left me in awe.

Emily’s coworker, Nick, kept flirting, texting her after work and suggesting meetups, ignoring her clear rejections. She didn’t tell me, fearing my frustration, but Caleb noticed her worry. One evening, he came home tired. “I dealt with Mom’s coworker,” he said, explaining Nick’s behavior, including insults about my condition. My anger flared, but I couldn’t act. Caleb had. He dug into Nick’s social media, learning he was married, and called his wife through her salon’s page, urging her to check on Nick at a parking lot at six.

Using Emily’s phone, Caleb texted Nick, pretending to be her: “Meet me at six, look sharp, close your eyes for a surprise.” Nick, eager, complied. At six, his wife found him in his car, eyes closed, grinning. She screamed, attacked him, and left, ignoring his excuses. Caleb said Nick stopped contacting Emily. Tears of pride fell as I realized Caleb protected us without force. “You’re my man,” I told him. His smart move showed strength is in heart and strategy, defending family with unshakable love.
