Ellen DeGeneres’ Reputation Destroyed: She Leaves the US Behind

Ellen DeGeneres has reportedly moved to the UK after the recent US election, where Donald Trump secured a second, non-consecutive term as president. This historic event has prompted several celebrities to consider relocating from the United States, and DeGeneres seems to be one of the few who has made good on her plans to leave the country.

The comedian and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, have reportedly left their home in Montecito, California, and decided to settle in the UK. Montecito is a wealthy area known for housing other celebrities, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but DeGeneres and de Rossi have chosen a different path following the election results.

According to reports, the couple has moved to the Cotswolds, a picturesque region in South West England. The area is known for its beautiful countryside and is home to several other famous figures, such as David and Victoria Beckham, actor Hugh Grant, and supermodel Kate Moss.

DeGeneres’ move comes after a challenging period in her career, following allegations of a toxic work environment and bullying on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The talk show host, who had been widely praised for her positive image, faced significant backlash after these claims surfaced.

Although DeGeneres issued a public apology, admitting responsibility for the toxic culture, the damage to her reputation was already significant. Now, she and her wife appear to be embracing a new chapter in England, away from the public scrutiny they faced in the US.
