Musk and Trump Clash Over Controversial Bill

Elon Musk, the billionaire behind SpaceX and Tesla, has reignited his feud with President Donald Trump, blasting his “Big Beautiful Bill” as “utterly destructive.” Musk, a key supporter in Trump’s 2024 campaign, joined the administration to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), aiming to trim government waste. But he quit, calling the bill an “abomination” that reversed his work.

Trump, now in his second term, expressed frustration, saying Musk knew the bill’s details before leaving. The tension grew when Musk tweeted about Trump’s alleged links to Jeffrey Epstein, later deleting the posts and admitting they were excessive. The White House brushed it off as an “unfortunate moment.” On June 28, celebrating his 54th birthday, Musk took to Twitter to slam the bill ahead of a Senate vote.

“This bill will destroy jobs and harm America’s future!” he wrote, arguing it supports old industries while stifling innovation. He warned it could spell “political suicide” for Republicans. Despite his concerns, the Senate voted 51-49 to discuss the bill, which Trump called a “great win.”

Speaking on the Pod Force One podcast, Trump said he’s focused on fixing the country and holds “no hard feelings” toward Musk. But when asked if their bond was broken, he hinted it likely was, citing his busy schedule. With Musk’s relentless criticism, their once-strong alliance appears fractured. This public fallout between two influential figures has captivated onlookers, raising questions about the bill’s fate and whether Musk and Trump can ever mend their rift.
