Donald Trump is once again in the spotlight, this time for promoting a new fragrance line that claims to be for “patriots who never back down.” Having been associated with various products throughout his political journey, Trump took to Truth Social to announce the launch of “Trump Fragrances.”
These fragrances are not produced or sold by Trump directly, but he is clearly supporting them. The official website, ‘gettrumpfragrances,’ markets the cologne as “your rallying cry in a bottle,” featuring Trump’s image and a raised fist, symbolizing “strength, power, and victory.” Trump himself stated that the products, named “Victory 45-47,” are designed to signify “Winning, Strength, and Success” for both men and women.
Despite their high price point ($199 to $249), some fragrances are already sold out, suggesting a strong appeal to his base. However, the promotion has also drawn criticism. One Twitter user found it “too embarrassing for words,” while a Reddit user questioned its legality, a sentiment echoed by another who called it “disgusting.”
Previous comments from Don Fox, a former U.S. government ethics official, noted that while such endorsements might violate ethical norms, presidents are largely exempt from federal conflicts of interest laws.
