Court Date Announced for Emily Willis’ Lawsuit Against Malibu Rehab Facility

Emily Willis, once a prominent figure in adult entertainment, is now fighting a legal battle after a stay at Summit Malibu led to devastating health consequences. The 26-year-old was receiving treatment for ketamine addiction when she suffered cardiac arrest, leaving her with locked-in syndrome.

Her mother has filed a lawsuit alleging that the rehab center failed to respond to Emily’s worsening condition, causing permanent brain damage. The complaint includes charges of dependent adult abuse and professional negligence.

The court initially asked for more detailed information about the rehab’s responsibilities toward Emily. After the family provided the necessary details, a hearing was scheduled for September 23, 2025, at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Meanwhile, nearly $117,000 has been raised via GoFundMe to support Emily’s care.
