Boxer Pedro Antonio Rodriguez Dies After Fight in Phoenix

Pedro Antonio “Tony” Rodriguez, a Mexican super-bantamweight boxer, was found dead in his hotel room the day after his fight in Phoenix, Arizona. The 37-year-old lost to Phillip Vella by unanimous decision at the American Royal Palace on July 5 during the “Brawl in Barrio” event.

Despite the loss, Rodriguez planned to have dinner with other fighters but never arrived.
