Tattoos have long been a popular form of self-expression, allowing individuals to showcase their unique personalities and styles. While some people opt for small, discreet tattoos, others, like Tristan Weigelt, take it to the extreme.
Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo apprentice, has made headlines with his astonishing transformation. Just five years ago, he looked like an average young man, but today, his body is a canvas of intricate designs and vibrant colors, with an impressive 95% of his skin covered in tattoos.
Weigelt’s journey began when he was just 20 years old. He recalls feeling a sense of unease when looking at old photos of himself without tattoos. “It’s kind of weird looking at myself without all the tattoos,” he admitted in an interview with the Daily Star. However, despite his drastic physical transformation, Weigelt insists that he remains the same person on the inside.
Among his numerous tattoos, Weigelt revealed that the most painful ones were those on his face and head. He likened the experience to being scraped with a metal brush, rating the pain an eight out of ten. The process took six full-day sessions, each lasting between five and six hours.
Interestingly, Weigelt’s tattoos don’t hold any deep, hidden meanings. He simply enjoys the art form and the way it makes him feel. Over the past five years, he has invested an impressive $50,000 in his body art.
For those considering getting a tattoo, Weigelt offers some sage advice: “Get what you love and what makes sense to you. Don’t worry about what others might think – if you like it, then get it.” His confidence and self-assurance are truly inspiring, and his transformation is a testament to the power of self-expression.
