‘Harry Potter trailer’ set in 2024 shows Harry all grown up

Fans want to see it ASAP

It’s been 84 years… No okay, that’s dramatic, it’s been over 13 years since the last Harry Potter film came out.

And to be honest, while some of you might feel like it’s been far longer, a lot of us feel like it’s never ended. I mean, there’s always something from the Wizarding World going on, from the stage play to Fantastic Beasts and now HBO working on a series.

So, why not bring Harry Potter into 2024 just to keep it up? A special ‘trailer’ set in the present shows the boy wizard all grown up with his own little boy.

Expanding the story from the theatre and bookshelves, the teaser for a ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ film gives Potterheads a ‘sneak peak’ into what could happen next in the franchise.

It looks like it would be a pretty spooky film. (YouTube/ Teaser PRO)
Ok, some things are too good to be true, like this incredible Home Alone 3 trailer, and this Cursed Child teaser is sadly the same, as it’s created by mashing up other film works from the stars.

But now Harry Potter fans want it to actually be made because it looks so good.

During the trailer, we see a spooky looking Hogwarts while (presumably) Harry’s little lad asks: “Dad, what if I have got into Slytherin?”

We then get to see the all-grown up Hermione and Ron who seem to be happily together still. Then, there’s a whole bunch of clocks and ticking and graves and well, spooky stuff.

Well, it wouldn’t be right without it. (YouTube/ Teaser PRO)

Despite the play running in London for a while now, there hasn’t been a confirmed film release for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Back in 2022, Radcliffe said to The New York Times that another Harry Potter is ‘not something [he is] really interested in doing right now’.

The play published in 2016 is set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and follows the son of Harry, Albus Severus Potter.

Rowling refers to it as ‘the eighth Harry Potter story’.

While it doesn’t look like we’ll get this as film any time soon, Warner Bros. is working on a TV series reboot of the franchise. So, that’s something for fans to look forward to, I guess.

For now, we’ll just have to live vicariously through the likes of these fake AI trailers as viewers say this is the best one they’ve ‘ever’ seen.

Plenty begged ‘please make this a reality’ as others asked: “Why is this movie not in production?”

Another writes: “Someone has to start a Petition on making this a real thing! This is Amazing.”
